Hi. i have been having problems with my windows 7 pc freezing and sometimes going to blue screen.

this started happening maybe a month ago but it's now getting worse and more frequent.
i'm currently in the process of backing up all my data. (the important stuff already is)

this freezing is totally random but it's happened when running a scan with malwarebytes twice.
once or twice when installing new driver updates and the random times maybe twice?. it works for hours on end sometimes even days. the other night i left it on and came back to a blue screen when it was doing nothing. the times i have seen it freeze it looks like windows itself freezes then goes blue screen. the drive that has windows installed is an ssd and is about 3 years old.

my guess would be the ssd is failing or hopefully i just need to reformat after all the crap over the years.

any response is highly appreciated.
Below are pictures of two of the bluescreensfrom today as far as i can tell they are the same. and one from thursday that's different

Hey, your SSD is most likely not the problem, unless it's been damaged during use, as 3 years isn't anywhere near the lifespan of a good SSD.

These errors are showing that crucial processes that keep windows working are being stopped, and that last error is to do with memory, as the memory dump also failed.

Try these solutions:

If your PC stays working for long enough, Open command prompt (Press the Start Key + the R key, type cmd into the open window, then hit enter.) then type in "chkdsk /f /r" without the quotations in, let that complete, tell me the result.

This could also mean defective RAM. Do you have spare RAM to replace it? If you do, install the RAM and see if the freezeups/bluescreens stop. If you don't, please tell me what RAM you have for me to troubleshoot.

If neither of these work, I'll be able to see more clearly what the problem is.

hey thanks for the response. it's been working without fail since the last crash.
i was playing gtav and watched 1080p youtube movies almost all night without a single hiccup.

SSD: OCZ Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 665.2 MHz

i ran the check disk and took pictures. i didn't capture stage 4 but it came up clean.

quick update i tried to install a driver update for my gpu and it bluescreened.
i checked event viewer and it says event 41 kernel power The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. i'm guessing it's the same error as the third bsod screenshot but my system rebooted itself so i couldn't get a picture.

another quick update. just noticed that my nvidea control panel won't open now and gives me an error " the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running" o boy this is not looking good haha.

Thanks for your time.
