I've searched high and low for an answer, so hopefully you guys can help. Every time I do something that puts a lot of load on my Belkin N600 DB Wireless Adapter (e.g. upload a large file, host a game server, etc.), the Adapter disconnects, and I lose internet connection. I've found in Event Viewer that when it does this, "A timeout occurred while waiting for the EHCI host controller Interrupt on Async Advance Doorbell response."

I've already gone into my power settings and disabled USB Selective Suspend, and I've already gone into Device Manager and unchecked the box that says "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" on my Network Adapter and each USB Root Hub. I'm really stuck on this one. Anyone care to help?

It appears that you have already googled "A timeout occurred while waiting for the EHCI host controller Interrupt on Async Advance Doorbell response" and tried the various fixes offered therein.

Can you borrow another USB adapter? Just to eliminate a problem with the adapter itself.

My other thought is to try plugging in the USB adapter via a powered USB hub. The idea being to start looking into the problem being directly USB or USB power related.

Does the Belkin adapter get hot under heavy wireless use?

Try putting it on a USB extension cable and move up and about to see if it can be cooled more.

If you can determine that the problem is heat/temperature related then the adapter is probably failing....

Didn't work :( It never really gets too hot, but I went and tried it anyways. Disconnect/Reconnect still happened.
