OK, so I am going to build a new desk pc, and i just have some questions on the parts i will be using before i get started. First off, i plan to use a Lian - Li DK-Q2 as the desk, but if anyone here has a better idea on a desk, please enlighten me. Also, throughout this thread, if there's anywhere where i could go cheaper for little to no performance loss, let me know that as well. For components, I plan to use:

CPU: (Edited) Intel 6700K i7 4.0GHz

GPU: Strix GTX 1080 (cause RGB lights)

RAM: 16GBs Dominator Platinum (I don't how fast the memory should be, and I'm also wondering if it is better to go for 4x4 or 2x8)

Motherboard: (Edited) ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA1151

Cooling: (Edited, thank you jmsellars1) Corsair H100i v2

Storage: 2TBs of WD HDD, and then 2 Samsung 850 EVO - 250GB SSDs, one for OS and one for games. Is this enough?

Case: Well, as mentioned above, DK - Q2.

Cables: (Edited) Custom blue/black cables from Ensourced

PSU: I'm thinking the HX750i from Corsair.

And for the rest of the setup:

Monitors: BenQ XL2730Z, which is a 144hz 1440p monitor. I don't know whether to get 1 or 2. I could either have a setup with only two BenQ monitors, or I could buy only one of these, use it as the center monitor, and then get two cheaper monitors to go on either side (cheaper would mean 1080p). (Edited, Italics are previous thoughts) --> I am going to buy one BenQ XL2730Z and then have two other 1080p monitors on either side.

Monitor mounts: [strike]If I do end up doing the three monitors[/strike], I'll need to find a good tri-monitor mount to set them up. Any recommendations?

Surround speakers: I don't know if i need these, cause I game with astro a50s on most of the time, but if anyone knows of some good cheap speakers I'm all ears (haha puns).

And I think that's it for the blueprint, as far as I can see. Sorry for all the questions to answer, i just have a lot on my mind :]
Feel free to answer any or all questions. I'll take what I can get.
Thanks a ton for anyone's help.

Regarding the CPU, the i5-6600k or i7-6700k would be best. The i7 only really gives a significant boost over the i5 in a few games at the moment but more games could take advantage of it in future.

The H110 doesn't fit in that case, it only fits 120/240/360/480mm radiators and that's a 280mm.

You'll want a Z170 motherboard with that build as well, X99 boards aren't compatible with the i5-6600k/i7-6700k
