:) Hello and thank you to whoever might be reading this for the potential help you can provide! :)

:( The Problem :(

I am been having an ongoing issue with my computer and its internet connection when trying to play online games. In short I am able to access the internet fine to browse the web and with other apps like skype and email with no issues. Aside from chrome which seems to search and buffer extremely slow especially on YouTube, however I have gotten around this by using Firefox instead. My main issue relates to online gaming, I have a relatively fast internet plan and previously had very low ping before this problem started. However now in games such as Dark Souls 3, Arma 3 and Rainbow Six Siege just to name a few, I cannot connect to the games servers and participate in multiplayer. The game will either enter an infinite connecting loop, constantly disconnect or reject my connection completely or something similar preventing me from joining.

:( What I have tried :(

I have tried changing many computer and router settings although nothing has helped.
I called up my ISP and had my internet service changed from a dynamic IP address to a static IP address which didn't do anything.
I have tried port forwarding and putting my computer into the DMZ in the router configuration, which shows my NAT type to OPEN in most games with a very low ping, but my connection is still refused or does not connect.
I upgraded from win7 to win10 as the free upgrade period was ending and hoped it might magically fix this issue however nothing has changed.
Disabling windows defender and my antivirus firewall does not seem to have any impact.
I only have one PC in my home and am unable to determine if it is a computer issue or something with the router, I do not have another PC to test to see if the same games work on that instead.

:??: Current Work arounds :??:

Using a VPN service (express vpn) which somehow solves the issue and allows me to connect to game servers which previously would not work. This however costs about $15 a month which is quite annoying. Many VPN's let me get around this issue but they are often too slow or really expensive for a plan in Australia. This leads me to believe the issue has something to do with my computers configuration rather then the router as I tested my computer with games while in the DMZ configuration so that all the ports were forwarded but it still did not work without Vpn. Disabling Vpn does not affect the internet and I can still browse it normally without it.
If I install a Wifi card (I used to not have wired internet and previously used a wifi card in my desktop) and connect to the internet through a personal hotspot on my phone I can connect to games fine. However it is laggy and costs a lot of money on my phone plan.

I am really unsure of what the issue is and any help that leads to a fix I would be happy to send a small paypal donation to you as this issue has been driving me crazy. If there is any network configuration information or computer settings that may help you to better determine a possible problem and solution please ask and I will do my best to provide it and work with you!
I read in a pinned post not to share my personal IP address but I am happy to share what ever network configuration details are necessary to diagnose the problem! Please forgive any mistakes or information not provided this is my first post and am unsure of the rules and requirements!

if vpn allowed you to connect then you are trying to access a server outside your country zone , that is , the server does not allow you to connect from your country and maybe another server is dedicated to yours.

check the servers and be sure the allow gamers from your zone .

@Samer1970 @LB23
The servers are all Australian and inside my region they are not region restricted, the VPN somehow just allows me to bypass what ever setting is wrong. I am connecting directly to the modem and don't have a router forwarding me to the modem sorry that was a typo in my post!
