I have a ASUS ROG GL751JT Game laptop, came with steam key, and a ROG(Republic of Gamers) Key. My specs listed below:

CPU: i7-4720HQ
GPU: GTX 970M 3GB
RAM:16GB

I noticed the fans bringing in hot air at the back of the 2 jets when I put my hand there. I am unsure how good the cooling system is on this thing, but it looks like it can handle a lot if you search for ASUS ROG gaming laptops and look at the back you will find 2 jets. I recently installed MSI Afterburner, and it installed another program called "Rival" something, does MSI afterburner know what my GPU can handle? Should I not go maxing everything out, is my GPU smart enough to know what its capabilities are?

Looking at the temps this is what its at on idle, would this be normal?

GPU temp: 42-43 Celsius
CPU temp: 44-51 Celsius *There were 8 CPU temps it was recording I have no idea which one to present*.

No MSI wont just tell you what your GPU can do. Its trial and error to see what you can get out of it but being a laptop I wouldnt expect much before overheating anyways. Just like any other OC you have to increase by small amounts and bench to see if heat is an issue or if you lost the OC lottery.
