Hi, so my Dad and I did a test after our TV had connection problems. Apparently, when I download a game, it affects everything connected to the Internet. For example, I'm downloading a game, and the TV connection dramatically decreases. Is this normal?

Wifi adapter: Netgear AC1200
Router: AT&T Uverse (don't know version) Modem, but I know it's made by Arris

Solution
TV should not be affected, unless it's IPTV, which unfortunately uverse is.
Easy fix though, Steam and Origins let you limit download speeds very easily, so just keep lowering the limit until you have no problems on the TV side

If you are using an off the air antenna, then an electrical device such as the computer, can generate spurious radio frequencies called RFI. These can interfere with reception. Increasing the distance between the tv and computer could help. Quality cables will have better shielding. Be sure all the screws attaching the motherboard are metal and snug. Keep all the covers on the computer case and fastened.
If the TV gets its signal from the computer, then the download is using bandwidth that the tv needs for a complete signal. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
