How to get to 125% power target on the Asus Strix 970 card

I have been working around with this card for a while and trying to find a good overclock and when I go above 1490 MHz It starts to crash after a short while. Knowing this I set it to 1480 but sometimes(a little more often lately) its starts to crash. I want to get it to 1500 or a little higher but I cant so I'm wondering how to go past the max 120% power target because ive seen people go to 125.

Depends on card model some have different power phases, so they have more power limit. you can use custom bios to increase your power limit although i won't recommend it. also keep in mind that if you fail you can brick your gpu
