I'm planning on buying a new computer components to replace my old rig. I'm in a tight budget but I need some peoples opinion to the components that I'm going to buy. The components that I'm going to buy are, a new motherboard, CPU and a ddr4 ram.

Motherboard: ASRock H110M-HDV Micro-ATX
CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 3.30 GHz Skylake
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Single DDR4 2400 (BLS16G4D240FSB)

Which will cost me all in all $189.

I don't need a really expensive components, I just want to make my computer a bit faster especially when your're into editing and stuffs. Will there be a big difference when it comes to performance when I bought this components that I'm planning to buy? It's only for temporary and I'll upgrade sooner.

Here are my PC specs right now btw:

Motherboard: Asrock ConRoe 1333-d667
CPU: Inter Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66GHz
RAM: Kingston 4GB DDR2 ram
PSU: Thermaltake 500w
GPU: gtx 960

8 years old rig and still breathing.

Solution
Note that H110M boards only have two RAM slots.
I've put in a single 8GB stick of better quality RAM and essentially the same thing as everyone else, really is the best option available to you.

This will perform better in most tasks by a decent margin (however it is $10 more) I'm editing it should smash the cpu you picked by probably close to 40%

The newer Pentium would be an improvement, but I think you would get better results with the i3. Swap the 8 GB kit of RAM for a 16 GB kit later if you need it. If you live near a Microcenter, you can get an i3/H110 bundle for $129.99.

Solution

The Asus features an M.2 port for use with high speed SSDs.
Go for the AsRock, unlikely you'll need it. :)
