Hey everyone, I've just got done building my second rig. Waiting on the graphics card to arrive, but everything else installed and working. (I'm using the computer to type this out). PC guys out there, wondering if you could give me any suggestions or a rating out of 10. I'm pretty sure I've done alright, but we'll see. Cheers!

Specs as follow:

Case: H440 Red/Black
LED: NZXT 2m Sleeved Red LED
Mobo: ASUS Maximus VIII HERO

GPU: Gigabyte xtreme windforce 980ti (purchased, on it's way) - Managed to get it for £350 with full warranty, and this variant is the fastest 980ti out there, and it actually beats most low-end 1070 variants.

CPU: i7 6700k - Stock speeds, waiting on GPU to arrive.
Cooler: H115i running Corsair SP140 Red LED fans
PSU: EVGA 850W Supernova P2
SSD: 240GB Sandisk
RAM: 2x 8GB: G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3200MHz

That's the current build, but I am planning on putting a second Sandisk in there to fill the second SSD slot on top of the basement and also planning on replacing all case fans with AF fans everywhere else. (Got SP on the RAD). Also planning on getting an M.2 for the operating system.

Peripherals:

G510 Keyboard
Razer WOT Special Edition Death Adder
1080P 60HZ LG Monitor

Planning on getting a 1440p 75 hz monitor at some point. Might get a 144hz, depends if I get a good deal.

Rate out of /10 guys and if you've got any suggestions, please say them below.
Show me your rigs as well guys! I would post pictures but I've not yet got the GPU as it's in transit and cable management needs a bit tidying up.

Solution
Well, now with explanation, I'd rate it as 7-8 :)
I'd disagree on the 1070 vs 980ti as my not top card was running 1940-1960MHz for core out of the box. I found it most convenient running at 2050Mhz core and 10Gbps mem. Even worst GTX 1070 will run at ~2GHz. not to mention lower power consuption/heat and some nice features like Fast Sync and other architectual improvements. Anyway, they (1070 and 980ti) do perform very close.
Regarding all those factory sealed loops ... They are made by 2 factories. Most of them are made by asetek. Very basic, very crappy.
In future, have a look at kits like EK Predator 240 - that's like audi vs hyunadi :)
While there is nothing terribly wrong with your build i'd say it's not really balanced.
Instead of that expensive MB RAM and PSU, you could save another 100$ and invest them in GTX 1070 and better SSD.
The H115i is very close in price to kits from alphacool, switech and EK. all of which are way better in any aspect.
So I'd rate this build as 5 - it is fine, just fine.

Thanks for the reply mate and feedback. I've been looking at reviews and my 980ti (the fastest variant) performs the same and if not better than most 1070 variants. Especially if I go to the extreme and plug the extra 6 pin in and put on xtreme mode, but I'm not going to do that. I'd need to likely waterblock the card. Plus I managed to get that GPU which is only 1 month old, with 3 year warranty, with all retail packaging etc for £350. So pretty cheap!

I got the SSD on sale on Prime Day, so couldn't say no to a 240gb SSD £40 haha.

Not to mention I got the MOBO with warranty for £100 bang on the dot, instead of £170-180. The ram was only £75 and I managed to get a £24 partial refund on the H115i for one fan bearing being noisy (Basically paid for new Corsair SP 140mm fans)

I do appreciate the feedback though mate, much appreciated.

Hmm... interesting. The only reason I went for a budget SSD is just purely temporary. It'll just have games on it once I have my M.2 installed for the OS. Plus I've had a bad experience in my other rig with the 850 EVO. The RMA system is terrible, luckily Amazon refunded me for over a year ago haha.

Managed to get the 980ti for £350 with 3 years warranty, with all the packaging etc. This variant of the 980ti is actually faster than most 1070s. Obviously that varies though, depending on what you're doing. Plus to get a 1070 which beats this 980ti, you'd have to get one of the top end 1070 variants which would be easily £100-150 more.

As for the cooler, that's really interesting. I've never even heard of that!

Haha, cheers buddy! Yeah I should've explained, I wouldn't of paid full retail for those items. I only picked up the 980ti because I seen it cheap and couldn't justify the extra £100-150 for hardly any performance increase. I do agree, the higher end 1070s are better, even forgetting the small performance increase... massive difference on heat/power.

Dearly noted on the H115i though, even with the partial refund I could which let me buy some better fans for it. It's not worth the money I agree, so I'll definitely keep that in mind if I think about upgrading in the future.

All in all, I'm not even planning on gaming on 3/4k. I wanted a system which would give me tons of headroom for 1440p gaming.

Yeah that's what I figured mate. I wanted lots of headroom above 60fps on 1440p so it'd be a smooth experience.
Damn man! Well I hope you get there buddy, I might do it eventually... I could probably do it now tbh! It's all about that damn monitor isn't it haha. They're not cheap.

The thing is that i'm not in US. so I have to shell out 1300$ for something like Dell U3415W which is kinda good considering it's overclockable to 80Hz and IPS with under 5ms response time.
I can afford it, it's just pissing me to pay that much for a monitor :) Will see what happens on black friday/cyber monday, may be will order from amazon with shipping and import duties :(
