Hi, i just build my new gaming rig and and i have problems with installing windows 7 on it. When i'm trying to install it, i'm getting an error about lack of cd/dvd drivers (i'm installing it from USB).

I've read about Microsoft and Intel disabling USB ports when windows 7 is installing. so, i came up with idea to plug my ssd into my old AM2+ system and install windows 7 there and then put the ssd back into my new system. Now i want to know if this could work.

My new system specs:
CPU: intel i5 6600k
Mobo: Asus z170 Ranger
RAM: Gskill tridentZ 16 GB 3000mhz
HDD: WD blue 1TB
SSD: PNY CS1311
Case: Phanteks enthoo pro
GPU: Palit gtx 1080 jetstream
CPU cooler: corsair h110i gtx
PSU: evga supernova 850 p2

Some people have been able to do it that way. You have to stop the install at the point where the first reboot occurs and then place the drive back in your new PC to complete. Your other options would be to use a PS2 mouse and keyboard or slipstream the USB drivers into your Windows ISO.

wrong way ... you need to inject the drivers inside the usb flash , there is a utility for it give me a sec , dont go away and dont use that method
