How long will a GTX 1060 last with a 1080p 60Hz monitor?

Solution
Well unfortunately I dont have a time machine nor a crystal ball to look into the futre, so the short anwser is I dont know. But if I had to guess as long as you want depending on the settings you can stand to play at. I would think the 1060 should be able to play any game 1080p 60fps for probably 7 years or more, depending on the rest of your specs.

Too many factors to give a real accurate answer. Are you ok with any FPS over 30 or is less than 60 unacceptable? Do you have to play at Ultra/High or are you fine with playing on Medium? Do you have to be at 1080 or are you willing to play at reduced resolution for higher FPS? If you're willing to do what's necessary to play, Dunlop0078 is correct in that you'll get a lot of years out of it.

I have the same questions and I want to respond to the factors.

I'm only ok with 60+ FPS. I have to play at High/Ultra, no Medium or Low. Only 1080p or higher.

i think it will las for around 5 years because looking back into the past the gtx 560 ti can still play many aaa titles at 30 fps at low settings but cannot play some titles like forza horizon 3 though. The gtx 560 ti was launched in 2011 and the gtx 1060 launched in 2016 so the 560 ti is no slowly going down with titles starting from forza horizon 3 and dishonored. It can still play the horrible ports, batman and watch dogs 2 though!

In conlcusion it will last for about 5 years and later you can spend another $300 bucks on maybe a gtx "1560"?!?!?!?! when it comes out and upgrade your processor to the current gen i5 at that time which will cost about $200 and some ram which will approximately cost you around $50. That is a total of $550, it is the same price of the xbox one launch price.
