I want to overclock my CPU SAFELY? What is my processors max temp?
How can i overclock it?

My systemis
Athlon II x2 240 PROCESSOR (2.80GHZ)
asrock 960gc-gs fx Board
4GB Ram
geforce GT 520 graphics Card

Your motherboard has no heatsinks on the VRMs for the CPU. I would consider adding heatsinks to these before attempting to overclock.

As long as you're below 75C, you should be fine.

You would overclock via BIOS settings.

I found some heatsinks that are 10mmx10mm, could you measure the VRMs on your motherboard and make sure that there's at least 10mm (1cm) between the capacitors so that the heatsinks will fit? The VRMs are the little squares to the left of the CPU socket, they're separated by cylindrical capacitors (dark blue and yellow).

What model power supply do you have?
