Hello guys,
I have this MB - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/G41M-P33.html#hero-overview.
I wanted to know, what radeon series is it compatible with?
And also compatible with my other shitty hardware.

What's the best card i can put in in?
Can i get this card? - https://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-4890-PCI-Express-Graphics/dp/B0021AECEW

Or maybe something from HD 5xxx or Radeon HD 6xxx Series?

My specs:
intel core 2 duo e8400 3.0ghz
2 gb ddr3 ram
Corsair CMPSU-550VXEU ATX 550W PFC
Lg flatron 1440 x 900
Yeah i know it's shit, kill me :(

Thank you in advance guys.

Yes that card is compatible with your mobo. Actually any PCIE3.0/2.0 card will work with your PC.
But the card you mentioned the 4890 is very old and for such a card is not worth $170 or so.
Get something like the R7 250/HD 7750 for a lesser price. They are weak cards but will not bottleneck your system much.
Any new GPU's will bottleneck your system.
I would strongly recommend you against upgrading your current PC as its too old and totally outdated . Any new hardware will bottleneck the performance of the PC.But if you feel you want to still upgrade then go for the cards I mentioned.

which radeon series is it compatible with? all of them that have a PCIe connection. How well is a different matter. PCIe generation and bandwidth provided by each will vary.

best card? you could put a gtx 1080 in there if you so wished. it would be a bit bandwidth starved as the motherboard is PCIe gen1 and the card is gen 3.

yes any card with a PCIe connector.

considering the resolution of your screen it would be a colossal waste to get a brand new card. (unless the rest of the system is set to be replaced quickly)

Thanks for the answers guys.

@manv Good to know about pcie thing, and yeah i dont want a new card.
I just want any better card than my cursed piece of shit radeon 4850, who gave me bluescreens for the last 8 years.

But now i even have bluescreens on desktop, during movies, etc.

I like the HD 7750, especially the price, it's cheap.
Yeah, i know i really need a new pc, and belive me i would buy it, but i don't have the money. So i'm stuck with this thing.

@R_1 Didn't know that, i thought it doesn't work like that. Now i know more about motherboards.
Thanks.
