New Build Computer Problems

I am a total novice when it comes to building computers. I built my first one yesterday, and miraculously, everything words hardware-wise. However, after I installed windows, my resolution is stuck on 800 x 600. I would download and install the drivers necessary, but I have a second problem: I can't connect to the internet. I use an Ethernet connection, which is inserted into the onboard connector and then directly into the wall. I know that the wall socket works, so the problem, I believe, must reside somewhere in the software. Any help with either of these problems would be greatly appreciated!

I have already run the utilities from the disk It gives me an error that says the "Controller was not found if Deep Sleep Mode is enabled please plug the cable." In the device manager, the lan controller has a yellow triangle indicating that it cannot locate the driver.

On an unrelated note, two of the usb controllers are missing drivers as well

From a quick search removing the CMOS battery and draining power (Turn off the PSU, hold the power button for a while to drain any residual power) and rebooting may help.

Another note:
"Click Start, Control Panel, System and Security
Click Device Manager (under System)
Double-clik Network adapters
Double-click the Realtek Network Controller
Select the Power Management tab
Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”"

Unfortunately, I have already tried this. When I restarted, I had to set the clock in the BIOS so I'm sure that I did it correctly.

I solved the internet problem. I had to download and install a more recent driver version than was on the disk. I still have yet to solve the resolution problem

Thanks, but I got it all figured out. I downloaded the newer drivers and transferred them via flash drive. The drivers on the disk were too outdated apparently. The resolution problem is fixed and I've even learned overclocking in the hours afterward. Finished my first build for my little brother and it works like a charm. I appreciate all the help!
