Hello,

one day morning, I tried to turn ON my PC. Vents and PSU started properly, monitor however didn't receive any signal. Afterwards, PC got stuck in this state.

My setup:

MOBO: GIGABYTE-Z97MX-Gaming 5 with newest version of BIOS: F6
CPU: Intel 4790K at stock clock, No OC! with Corsair liquid cooling H110i GT
RAM: Crucial 16 GB KIT DDR3 1600 MHz CL9 Ballistix Sport
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB - this is BOOT drive
2 x 1TB WD in RAID0 - for DATA
GPU: Gainward GTX 970 No OC!

Firstly, I thought that the SSD is at fault, therefore I removed it and pluged it into another PC. System boot up normally so I believe the SSD is in order.

Then I tried the same thing with CPU, which worked fine as well.

Next thing I tried was connecting the beeper in, and I checked out the list of signals for GIGABYTE motherboard. I tried to run PC with only CPU in motherboard and PSU active (no disks). Beeper let out continuous short beeps, implying that no RAM was installed. I installed RAM and the beeper let out a single beep, implying that everything is in order. I got into BIOS, which showed me that I don't have any booting media present. I added the SSD and restarted again. Afterwards the very same error occured. The vents were spinning and motherboard lit up normally, monitor however was not recieving any signal. Keyboard and mouse did not register any connection eighter. To top it off, the beeper kept absolutely silent.

Last thing I tried was taking out the battery from motherboard and measuring the voltage. Everything appeared to be in order, so after a while I installed it back. Again, I tried to boot up the system and surprisingly enought I got into Windows, but the PC did not recognize my disk D: (RAID0). I tried to restart and get into BIOS, however the PC did not boot up and is unable to start again, no matter how I try.

My belief is that the SATA controller on my motherboard is dead, but I am not sure about this since I have no obvious way to check and there is a number of other factors to it.

I would welcome any helpful suggestion and information, please help!
