Bios update help

Hey guys, I just started a build for my pc and have everything ordered. My cpu, a 4690k, arrived first and I decided to test it on my original build for functionality. My motherboard is compatible with it as it's a Asus b85m-g but it needs a bios update. The problem. is, Asus recommends I use their "bios updater" tool which I cannot run due to my Intel management engine interface driver not being "installed" although it already is. Just looking for some help. My motherboard bios version is 0309.

My old cpu was a i5 4430 which worked perfectly fine and booted. I tried updating the bios to 0904 and 2001 but neither seems to make my bios display when booted. I also used the ai suite 3 ez update to update my bios if that affects anything.

Thanks! Yea I had to use the Asus bupdater. The only problem I had with it was the MEI driver I had installed which was an updated version but I needed to downgrade a version. My 4690K is up and running. :)
