How to play games with Mouse & Keyboard on the couch?

So I ordered a USB extension cable and USB hub for couch gaming to stretch across my living room to the sofa. All I need now is a tray of some kind for my keyboard and gaming mouse. I was thinking of getting a wooden board and tacking on a large gaming surface pad from Amazon or something but I was wondering if there already is such a product. I already know about Corsair Lapdog and Razer Turret but they are too expensive for me right now though I might get a Lapdog in the future. However, I was wondering if there are any kind of solid pads for gaming mice and keyboards. I saw one for a mouse but need it for a keyboard too.

Many thanks in advance!

I was thinking of measuring a piece of wood so I have ample room for a keyboard and mouse and then buying a soft surface M&K matt and tacking it onto said board. Do you think that would work? Or would not be a good option?

I was thinking that but then I would have to measure legs and nail them on or something and I don't really have the tools to do that. It is a good idea though and I might consider it. Perhaps I can get some hinges to make foldable legs as well! Also I was trying to come up with a simple way to keep the mouse and keyboard from sliding off the tray when not in use but was thinking of tacking on a thin strip of wood at the bottom of the tray to prevent it from falling off and some hooks for the wires.
