I have a new ASUS ROG gaming laptop series that has dual jet fans in the back. My room temperature is around 24 Celsius; the GPU temperature at idle is 45 Celsius average; CPU temperature at idle is 46 Celsius average. There is no obstruction of airflow of my knowledge, laptop is on a wooden desk.
Would these be normal tempertures on idle?
For gaming I am receiving temperures ranging from 70 Celsius for GPU, and 81-87 Celsius for CPU. I have not tinkered with overclocking and I never plan to on a laptop. The program I use to display the stats is MSI afterburner and for some reason it has the fan speed section grayed out, could MSI afterburner be taking control of my fan speed and turning it off, I have not tinkered with the bars on it.
Would this be normal tempertures for gaming, and does MSI tinker with any of my computer settings (Such as clocking, and fan speeds) if I have not even tinkered with them?
On BF4 I am getting around 44-55FPS on Goldmud railway with maxed settings on 1080p display, resolution scale stays at 100%. Is this what I should expect?
