No Video Signal, BIOS not booting/displaying, NO POST - New PC Build

I purchased a GA-970A-DS3P motherboard and received it a few days ago. After assembling everything, I tried a test boot, but it seems the BIOS wouldn't boot. No splash screen, no input signal, but the CPU/case fans were running. There was one POST beep (pretty sure it's a POST beep, it's quiet compared to the error beeps) as well.

I have an MSI R7 370 GPU plugged into the PCI express x16 slot, and tried connecting that to the monitor with both an HDMI cable and a DVI-I to VGA cable converter. Both of them displayed the same "no signal" message. Since the motherboard doesn't have any video output port, the video card is my only option for video output.

I'm also not sure if the motherboard supports video output on that 3rd party GPU.

I've already tried troubleshooting with the following:

-Removing and reattaching the RAM to different slots

-Replugging in all the cables from the power supply

-Removing, and reattaching the video card

-Trying different HDMI cables

-Trying different monitors

-Resetting by holding the power for 60 seconds + (CMOS)

-Tried moving the GPU to the PCI express x4 slot

At first I also thought it might have been a compatibility issue between the BIOS version and the CPU, but I read that the AMD FX 6300 has been supported since the first release. I wouldn't be able to update the BIOS without a display anyway.

The motherboard definitely has power, I'm not sure however if it's booting up, or if it's just an issue with video output to monitor.

Let me know if you need any other details. I'm really trying to get this to boot to BIOS so I can get the OS installed.

I'd appreciate it anyone happens to know what the issue is.

Cheers

Well that's where I'm at right now. It's the single beep. Tried this step many times to no avail.

Apologies, it looks like I may have been mistaken. I took out the speaker to check, and it turns out that the "beeps" I were hearing weren't actually beeps. They came from elsewhere in the system.

So right now it's:

-0 beeps with the video card and RAM in place
-0 beeps with the RAM in place but the video card out
-Continuous, unending beeps if RAM is taken out.

I currently don't have any sticks of DDR3 other than the one I'm using right now. Should I RMA the RAM and get a different stick?

I tried breadboarding the build, with just the CPU, Mobo, and RAM, no beeps.

I bought a fresh 4GB stick and put it in. (I plan on returning it for cash back, just had no other way to get one.)

Still no beeps, and still doesn't boot.

Is the motherboard dead?

I bought a new motherboard after having the RMA request for the old one approved. It's the ASUS M5A78L-M USB3 Micro ATX, rev 1.0

The LED light on the mobo comes on, I have CPU and RAM installed, everything's connected, and tried troubleshooting like I did on the old board. It's still the same issue, no post, no beeps. This is getting ridiculous.

EDIT: I called ASUS support, and after troubleshooting/isolating every component, they seemed to think the board was defective and told me to RMA it. I plan on doing that, but I'm starting to think it's a CPU issue (I mean how likely is it that I get two defective mobos in a row?). Will try returning that too.

So it turns out it was a memory issue all along. Apparently BOTH sticks of RAM that I tested (first one bought from Amazon, 2nd from NCIX) were dead on arrival. I found that out when I took the parts to a tech in breadboard configuration. (Really nice guy, gave me a spare stick of working RAM when I told him everything I had to do to troubleshoot.)

Anyhow, I'm posting from my new build right now. It's working fine. Thanks for helping me out with the troubleshooting
