Hi! this is my second try (after failing once) to customize my windows booting screen, i use Win7BootUpdater on a Windows 7 Desktop FYI.

I've been trying to do these custom loading screens since some of these look quite nice and interesting, but my current problem is that when finished (applying the custom animation) and restarting my PC to check if it works, it'll start with an "old" loading screen similar to Windows XP, then startup repair kicks in (which i can't stop) and restores everything to default.

i've checked every single site to find any answers to this issue but none seem to guide me to any ways of fixing this, apparently size and resolution may play a role in triggering startup repair but i don't know.

the loading animation is:

in case somebody knows about this stuff and wants to know which one i'm trying to apply.

The last update to that Win7BootUpdater was in 2010, I would say it's no longer a stable program to use.

There is some info about it here how to recover from the boot issues. http://solutions-zone.blogspot.com/2010/10/change-windows-7-boot-screen-using.html

There is also a note about it, from 2010 also "This is currently being tested! It is not finished and does not completely work. Use it at your own risk (or in a virtual machine). If you get stuck forever in Windows Recovery Environment see Recovering winload.exe"
