Do i need to redownload windows if i buy the exact same motherboard i currently have and replace it with a new one?

So recently i scratched my motherboard and i am scared that down the road it may take parts with it if it were to ever fail. I have decided to buy another motherboard (the same model) so that i dont need to worry about it. would i need to reinstall windows even if i buy the exact same mother board model? (the motherboard is the z170x gaming 3 mobo).

With the exact same hardware, a reinstall is 99% not needed.

Last time I worked an RMA for a friend it needed a reinstall. I guess its worth a shot then.

With the exact same board you can just move the storage drive to the new exact board and it will boot.

No reinstall is needed.
