Firstly, I'm new to building computers so as much simple information that you can give to help me understand how to build it would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, I am debating whether I should get the GeForce 970 or the 1060. What's the big difference? The only reason that I am debating is because I would like to save some money on this computer. How long do you think the 970 will be good for until games get too powerful for it?

Secondly, I am wondering if I should buy the Intel i5 3.9ghz and buy the i7 4.4ghz in a couple years or do you guys think I should try and just get it now. How long do you think the i5 will be good for until games get too powerful for it?

Thirdly, how good is the Asus Z97-E motherboard for gaming?

Thank you for your help even if you were only able to answer one of the questions for me and clear some things up. Cheers

Solution
not all i5/7s are compatible wit all motherboards, what specific i5 or i7 are you looking at?

the 1060 is like 5% better than the 970, being newer and all.

That mobo would be fine, but it's meant for overclocking, you can save quite a bit of money if you go with an h97 instead, and losing the ability to OC.
