Hello there, I have been having an issue with my pc in general for the past month. I have an i6700k cpu and a GTX 980 gpu. At first when i built my PC roughly 9 months ago. I was running all games at above 100 fps on the highest graphics settings ect. and my cpu was running at maybe 35 degrees Celsius maximum. Since then my games cannot even reach 60 fps on recommended graphics settings and my cpu temps spike on different cores up to 55 degrees Celsius. Can you please help me because i can't quite understand why my fps and cpu temps are worse than some of my friends with much older (cheaper) components. Thank you so much for reading! Please help if you can :)

If you have never touched the BOIS then don't worry about the voltage. 55C is a quite normal and safe temperature range. Have you updated your graphics cards drivers?

Have you done anything else to your computer? Is it possible that your BIOS was touched and the vcore voltage was bumped up thus causing over heating? Is it winter or summer at your current location? The problem can be caused from high ambient temperatures.

I don't really know what the normal voltage is for the psu if thats what you mean? and it is summer so i expected an increase in Temp but the cores just seem to be jumping even at idol!
