Alright, so I'm thinking of getting a 980, my PSU is 750w and I have been using a 6 pin connector. I just found out, about 20 minutes ago, that I have an adapter from 6 pin to 8 pin. My question is will it be enough for a 980 and will it be enough to overclock? I have an msi gtx 960 at the moment and it's been overclocked for 8 months now with the 6 pin connector since I just started using the adapter I don't know if there is any difference. I heard that you shouldn't overclock with adapters though is this true?

The psu seems to be nice in wattage to do a nice overclocking, but it depends which are the rest of the system, and which brand is that PSU.

About which conector your future gtx 980, well, it depends which one itself is it.

Can you OC with adapters? There is nothing to hold you back to do it, but, isn't recommended.
