Hi,

I'm currently configuring a build with a custom loop but I am unsure what pump to get. I really need it to be a pump/res combo as I don't want to mod my case in any way. I was looking at the EK-D5 pump/res combo. Would this combo be enough to push water through the following config:

Pump to CPU block
CPU block to 240mm rad
240mm rad to GPU 1
GPU 1 to GPU 2
GPU 2 to 240mm rad
240mm rad to pump
Repeat cycle

If you have any suggestions on another way to setup the loop that would be greatly appreciated. This is my first loop and I don't understand much watercooling terminology so please be patient.

Thanks!

I think so. I don't think you would have to mod your case in an extremely crazy way to handle a separate pump and res (what is you case btw?)

My current case is the NZXT H440, I know that it is quite a large case but at the moment there is only one little res mount to the left side of the side panel and I don't want the res in that position, I just thought it would be easier to get a pump/res combo and then I could just mount it directly to the front rad without doing any drilling to the case floor.

Okay, thanks for the help. I know that the pump is a good pump so I was just making sure that it will be enough to push liquid through 2 rads, a cpu and 2 gpu's. Cheers for the help. Can get started with the build now :)

Ohh, I didn't realise that. I would probably just add in a separate pump if required and hide it somewhere underneath the PSU shroud so it's out of sight. Use it to pull the fluid through and then use the res pump to push the liquid through. Anyway thanks for your help!
