Hi Folks,
I have a DELL 9200 (XPS410) and the latest DELL Bios, 2.5.3 and an old Radeon X1300 Pro graphics card.
This card doesn't support Open GL and is very old so I need to replace it with something newer but it has to work with my mobo which only has a PCIe 1.1 slot.
I've looked around and found that I can get a GeForce G210, PCIe 2.0, quite cheaply, so I wondered if anyone has actually tried this or a similar configuration.
I'd like to know it's going to work before going ahead.
Any comments or suggestions welcome.
My PSU is a DELL 375 watts but I've replaced my HDDs with an SSD so there should be ample power for a smallish card like the G210.
Please let me know if you have tried this or if you know of any other graphics card working in this config.
Many thanks.

The Dimension 9200 is very similar to my Dimnsion E520. Why not put a GTX760, in there. Be sure of Legacy BIOS support. QX6800SLACP works too. If it's an XPS the BIOS might support O/C. It can be done anyway. Stay away from the R9-285/380 and later AMD. Aftermarket PSUs fit.(22A on the 5V. rail required). The PCIe is 2.0 with that BIOS, and it supports 8GB DDR2-800 memory. I wrote a tutorial "Overclocking dell BTX Computers" based on the E520. Your MB is the same with more slots and bays, a bigger PSU and room for a full size video card. Click the link in my sig. to see what's possible with one of those things. 3.45GHz can be done easily. 4GHz is a little harder.
