I rarelly turn off my pc. This time it was off for around 7 days. When i wanted to turn on, he acted like cpu is bad. I took it off to check it and then i saw this. Cabble from psu is okay, only extension is fried. Can someone tell me what can be reason for this to prevent more damage that can happen in future.
Thank you.

Why did it fail, probably bad quality on a crimp on that cable that is hanging out. Too much resistance leads to too much heat, which leads to melted plastic.... 4 pin supplemental CPU power plugs are not designed for overclocking IMO.

It works for month without problem OC-ed to 4.3 gHz. But i noticed this after ~7 days without turning it on (wasnt home). And i dont turn ot off that often. But when i try to turn it on after 7 days it couldnt start and i note this.
