I'm attempting to find a non-reference design of the Radeon RX 480 8G, however I'm not entirely sure how to discern whether or not a site is selling the non-reference design.
To note I am new to upgrading PCs and shopping for GPUs, not to mention I'm not even sure this one (http://shop.amd.com/en-us/promo/RX480M4BFA6?k=rx%20shopCategory:graphic&promo=rxpromo) is even the 8G model.
I am shopping for this GPU due to advice on a seperate thread I started and was told to wait for the non-reference design as it is better in some way.

Any links or advice would be appreciated.

Solution
I would not worry about reference/non reference design.
Graphics card vendors bin their chips and use the better ones in factory overclocked versions
that they can sell for more. You may be able to OC more, but then again, perhaps not.
They try to differentiate by adding cosmetics and fancy coolers which also sell for more.
I do think you get fair value from a modest factory overclocked card.
If you need more performance, they buy a higher tier card in the first place.

For the RX480 there is a difference in performance between 4gb and 8gb vram variants.

Pick your price point and pick a card. You will get fair value from any of the modern cards. Do not forget the GTX1060 either.
