1080 strix 8 pin and 6 pin problem

Hello!

I just got my 1080 strix that has both a 6 pin and 8 pin connector. My previous card had two 6 pin connectors. I do not have cables to connect both the connectors on my strix card.

Is it okay for me to only connect the 8 pin cable and leave the 6 pin connector open until i've fixed my shortage of csbles? Or will that create huge issues like my card breaking down?

I got an adapter with the card that took my two previous 6 pin cables to one 8 pin. Is it safe to run the card on only that 8 pin adapter? Is it safe trying it?

I thought maybe it would work because the founders edition only uses one 8 pin... But too afraid to risk letting the 6 pin connector be empty

You should have got enough cables with that PSU for 3 6+8-pin graphics cards.

Okay... I will try and find where i can buy a 6 pin cable then. I probably used to have the cables i need but lost them from moving around so much ^^
