hello guys, iv'e made a topic recently but thought id go even lower on price but maybe go a bit higher with your suggestions

the build is like this:
i5 4460
b85m-g
hyperx 1600mhz 2x4gb (total of 8gb)
MSI Radeon (r9 270x)
500w psu
2x 500gb hdd (yes, i know, but i got them for 15$ hehe)
not sure abour a case yet.

so far this build is 380$

the plan is to play arma3 (altis life) with a decent 30+ fps in a combination of low-med settings maybe med.

Solution
Should be able to do what you want. The 4460 is still viable paired with greater cards than the 270X.
Low-medium settings @ 30+FPS (assuming 1080p?) is a goal that's more than achievable on most titles.

On Arma III, you should be able to achieve pretty decent FPS (even 60FPS) on medium-high with that GPU.

I'd question the "500W PSU". If it's good quality, you'll be fine. If it's poor quality, I wouldn't use it personally.
We'd need the full model number though. Assuming the PSU is also used? Makes it a tough sell. PSUs and storage are 'used' components I tend to avoid.

:??:I don't think I've had enough coffee yet. Not understanding..

There's no guarantees it'll hold on. If it worked for your friend, and you used the same, identical setup ( 'same component models' should be fine, but the only way to be sure - at least to ~99% is using the exact same setup, exact same card etc) then it should. Again though, model number is required. A 500W PSU that worked for your friend may well be a piece of junk, or it could be top of the line 5+ years ago. There's no way of knowing from what you've stated so far.

sorry, my bad here, as i know arma3 is very cpu hungry, and multiplayer is even worse, will the 4460 be able to handle it on 30+fps (multiplayer)

also, the psu is a seasonic 500

Ah, multi-player, not single-player. See, I knew I was lacking coffee!

It is CPU intensive, that's true - but you're still on track for 30+ FPS on Medium..... I'd still think you'll do better than 40FPS on Medium-High, even in multi-player.
