I have a dell XPS 8300 pc running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I ordered it with two USB 3.0 ports. I am including a picture of all of my pci express slots. I want to capture video from my old mini dv camcorder so I can put the movies on disks/flash drives. I need to install a firewire card. All the slots are used. However, one of the slots is a "Dell Hauppauge WinTV Internal HDTV NTSC/ATSC/QAM PCI-Express PCI-E x1 Full Height Profile TV Television Tuner Card" that I never use. (see image). Can I remove that and put in a firewire card without my computer having a cow over it? And, I can't figure out what pci e card to get. Any ideas?

If you look at the second picture, it seems like it has both a low profile and a normal bracket, so you can choose whichever one fits you.

I don't know much about the actual card, it was the first thing that popped up on Amazon, so I don't know if it's reliable...

The card PCI express card in there now is full height and the sedna you kindly suggested is low profile. will that create an installation problem? I'm thinking it will not, but have to ask first. Thank you

I don't know much about the actual card, it was the first thing that popped up on Amazon, so I don't know if it's reliable and such, maybe google around a bit for some 1x Firewire cards and see if there is anything better available.
