My 280x died on my the other day, and I'm looking to replace it. I'd love to get a RX 480 but these RX 470's look really amazing and slightly cheaper.

From what I've looked at they seem to be way better than the 280x and the 380x cards. Is that a correct judgement atm?

Again I'd love to hold out for a RX 480 but just wondering on the RX 470.

Thanks for your opinions

Hey there,
Everything you need to know about the RX 470 can probably be answered by watching the following video: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7t6lN2-bK8)

In short: The RX 470 outperforms the 280x and 380x comfortably, only falling short to the 390, which falls short to the RX 480.

Here's a quick hierarchy (least to greatest):
280x -> 380x -> RX 470 -> 390 -> RX 480

Cheers mate, hope this helps.

Thank you very much, I'll watch the video now. I'd really love to get a 480, just have to try and be patient.
