Vektom :
Hi,
I had the same problem playing Eve Online. One day I just started getting that error. I tried every fix under the sun to no avail. Until I tried rolling back to Direct X 9. Now works flawlessly.
That sounds like the same issue I had with my GTX580, 100% stable in DX9 or lower, DX10 or higher the card will crash no matter what I do for clocks or voltages, I even flashed an Asus Bios to the card and its an EVGA card, still the same issue.
But what I found that fixes it is to run the card in its 3d mode or max clock 24/7 which stopped the crashes in DX10 and newer games, I had to use Kboost in EVGA precision for Nvidia.
For AMD you can force 3d clocks with MSI afterburner and see if that fixes your problems, I had a R9 380x that kept crashing left and right, in fact it still crashes so im out $250 bucks as I got it back from Sapphire's RMA and they say there is nothing wrong with the card. The card was for a customer of mine, I kept it as I had no choice and I had to fork out the money for another card for the customer "Thanks Sapphire!". Anyway, the card is still in use in my other PC and has been forced at 3d clocks for over a year now with many different drivers, Kind of gave up on it.
Forcing 3D clocks will drive the idle temps up, but may put a "bandage" on your issue. Its more of a temp fix, If you reinstall your drivers from scratch and it still has issues, I'd see if you can get an RMA from whom you bought it from if its still under warranty.
GTX970 should not crash in DX11 games. Also try going back to drivers you knew worked before, but again it may not really be a fix. Also what Powersupply are you all running? Make and Model would help us determine if its a power issue.
