I bought a used computer upgraded to windows 10 that would not activate. Want to restore to factory setting where windows 7 is installed on computer from Gateway. System will not let me into advanced boot options and there is no gateway recovery option in Windows. I have tried Alt+F11, Alt+F10, F8 and nothing works. Can anyone help me? I also know that the system is partitioned. There is a 'System Reserved" part of the partition, which from everything I read is where I can go back to factory settings. The gateway is ZX4800. Thanks
Cynthia

Since it's a used system, it could have been changed enough where the recovery partition no longer works, and it could have been wiped during prior Windows setup.

Info on Gateways is here http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/55350-35-anyone-enter-recovery-partition-gateway-ml3109 there is a post there about marking the D partition as active before recovery can work.

You may want to contact whoever you bought the system from about what they did with the computer. If it's not activating they could have used an illegal Windows key before they upgraded.
