I'm building my first Gaming PC from scratch and would like a second opinion, I did some research into 2016 computer parts and came up with this list:

Case: Cooler Master HAF XB Mid tower
CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus RAMPAGE V EXTREME EATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Geforce GTX 1060 Gaming Video Card
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Thermal Compound: Noctua NT-H1 3.5g Thermal Paste
Operating System: N/A
Software : N/A

And I was wondering if these parts were compatible, and if there are cheaper alternative parts with similar performance.

-thanks

Solution
pcpartpicker.com is where everyone goes to when making a build to see if the parts are compatible with each other. For future reference on that an other parts.
Also you by no means need 32GB of ram for a gaming pc. You can run almost all games today with 8GB. Though id recommend 16 as to future proof it.
And for most gaming builds the most expensive part will be the gpu.
Your motherboard is massive overkill. No need to spend that much on a motherboard. Could use those funds for a better gpu like a gtx 1070 or 1080.

Pretty lame build you got there... I would choose this path instead.

If you can find GTX 1070 Phoenis GS or GLH model of the GPU card buy that one instead of gigabyte G1
