Microphone playing PC sounds

My PC microphone is picking up and playing all my system sounds through it. I have windows 8.1 and have tried anything I can think of to fix the issue.

I'm having the same issue. i think it picks up the audio in the recordings. i believe the fix would be if you got a use podcast mic would fix the problem.

Yes I'm using a Logitech G430 that has two 3.5mm jacks one for the headphones and one for the microphone. I just bought this headset yesterday as the other was giving me problems as well and had a short in the microphone.
