Cant get above 4.0 Overclock 3570k GA-Z77X-UP4 TH

Hello everyone I cannot seem to get past 4.0 OC on my Intel 3570k GA-Z77X-UP4 TH

Windows keeps crashing. I know I am doing something wrong!

my Temps are not that bad and my Voltage are low..

Any Ideas?

You'll need to increase the voltage. But naturally that's something you have to be more careful about.

by how much?

Impossible to say, it depends on your chip. Some require more voltage than others.

Well the stock says something like 1.185 I believe and I started at 1.105 at went up to 1.120 +005 increments and then it crashed so I went back down. I should be going past this ?1.130 or something?

You can't expect to undervolt and oc much. Stock is usually where you start off at and try at least 1.2 or so. Although your cooler will be the issue if you are already hitting 69c undervolting. What do you have, the stock cooler?

I don't know much about under or over volting

You obviously need more but no one can tell you how much. We don't have your pc, it's part of the cpu lottery. You can't think you can increase speed above stock and decrease vcore below stock.

I'm lost with the voltages it crashes too low and too high is this right? Any guide you can recommend?

OC3D has this guide, which should help. They're using a 3770K and a slightly different motherboard (still Gigabyte though), but most of it should still apply for your situation.

Thanks for the help I will look at the guide.... I was able to get it to 4.2 with 1.25v running a few hours with prime top temp was 80.
