Earlier this year my computer was shutting down randomly in such games as The Witcher 3, CS:GO, and Assassins Creed Brotherhood. I took it into a PC Repair store and was told the GPU wasn't functioning properly and one of the fans was also broken on it (it was a rather old GPU). So I purchased a new one, but as soon as I went back to playing the same games as previously listed it began to shut down or completely freeze the PC randomly again. I suspect this is a Power Supply problem as my PC is spotless on the inside but I just wanted to seek some advice first before I go and buy another PSU.
Here are my Specs:
GPU: GTX 970 NVIDIA GeForce 4095MB
CPU: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 32nm Technology
RAM: 8GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 671MHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology GA-990FXA-D3 (Socket M2)
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
PSU: SilverStone Strider Gold S Series ST85F-GS 850W ATX 80 PLUS GOLD
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I just want to make sure it is the PSU before I buy a new one.
