UK PC in the US

Hey all,

I'm moving to the US soon and want to take my PC desktop with me from the UK. I already know I'll need to use a step up/down converter as my PSU does not have a voltage switch. My question is, will I be ok using a monitor bought in the US, plugged into the normal mains socket? Alternatively, if I also take my monitor with me, will that be ok just used with a normal US 2-pin power cable to the mains, or does that also need to run from a converter?

Thanks.

From what I can find, your PSU is made by CWT, but there's no respected tear-down reviews of it.

I know too well the cost of decent transformers (UK to Canada), and I'd suggest replacing the PSU.
Unless you need the transformer for other electronics you'd be taking with you, it's likely the easiest route (and better overall to ensure you've got a quality PSU).

I've checked the PSU - I definitely need a transformer (http://www.coolermaster.com/powersupply/thunder/thunder-700w/)
