Noctua NH-D14 ?

Solution
They are great heatsinks, but large. You have to make sure they will fit in your case and also not interfere with some (tall) memory modules).

To assess specific needs, at a minimum, you need to consider the make/model of your case, motherboard, and memory.

Nope. You just need to make sure your memory is low enough in profile (on Intel chipsets anyway...not sure about AMD). It is a large cooler so you also need to make sure it will fit in your case. Also, it's a relatively heavy cooler so I would not recommend moving your PC case around much after installing it as it may put excess stress on the motherboard.

With that said, it's the best air cooler I've ever had, both in pure cooling performance and being quiet while doing it. About the only complaint I have is the color of the fans. But I painted mine black.
