Hi all,

Bit of a back story: my custom build that I have had been using for like 7 months just blew last month (power cut for a spiky second) I came back into my room did not smell anything bad but o saw my mouse leds where not lighting and he PC was off, I then tried to turn on the PC with no luck no power what so ever going into the PC.

So I got my new PSU today sea sonic ssii 620w (old was XFX 650 ts) and load and be hold no power still going to the PC. I did notice one difference when I flick the power switch the led in my mouse comes on for a spilt second this happens randomly and not all the time when I switch. Scan confirmed that it was a faulty PSU I RMAed so I thought I would be back up and running. I did reapply thermal paste to the CPU but very little so don't think it got onto the chip itself.

I breadboarded the machine just there with no luck reassured the CPU 8 pin was connected and 24 pin. So did my PSU take out my motherboard or was it the problem all along?

I have a i5 6500 and a r9 390 can you guys recommended me a new motherboard I'm going to order on scan (best customer service around)

Sorry for such a long post and thanks in advance

Regards
Jamie
