Hey guys ! So I have decided to purchase two xeon e5 2680 2.7ghz v1 processors at a cheap rate. I was looking around for compatible and budget boards and stumbled upon - Dell lga2011 dual socket c602 T5610 MOBO. The question is, will this motherboard support the above mentioned xeon. i have never before worked with Xeon so it might sound newbie question, but any help will be appreciated. Thanks

My guess is that it probably should. I have a Dell Precision T3600 with an Intel C602 chipset. The Xeon E5-2600 family V1 is Sandy Bridge which is supported by the C602. Mine is a single processor and I have a Xeon E5-1603 Sandy Bridge but plan to upgrade it to whatever I can get that will give me the most bang for the buck.

You probably have already answered this but a good place to start is the Dell support page for the Precision T5610. Check out the specs, look at the Owner's Manual and other documents. You can find it here. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/precision-t5610-workstation/manuals.

Would love to hear what you ended up doing.
