As of late i've been trying to think of how to upgrade my gaming computer and i could really use some help for upgrading it.

Heres whats on it:

CPU: AMD Quad-Core FX-4300 Vishera Processor 3.8GHz to if maxed 4.0 GHz
Motherboard: AMD 760G+SB710 Chipset
RAM: 8 GB (Can be expanded to 16)
Storage: 1TB - SATA III - 7200 rpm
GPU: Gigabyte R7 250 2 GB
Power: 500 Watt - AC 120/230 V (50/60 Hz)
Cache Memory: 4MB L3 Cache, 2 x 2MB L2 Cache

So far I've mainly been thinking about upgrading my R7 250 to a R9 280 since i mainly play games like ArmA 3, Project CARS, Codemaster F1 games, and League of Legends along with adding a SSD for faster loading.

Then focus on upgrading my motherboard and CPU. Unless is their something else i should upgrade first?

Also i'm just focusing on what i can upgrade for now, so my budget is non-existant until i can get some money.

Solution
you can def up grade your CPU try for an fx-6300 for a six core or fx-8350 for an 8 but that graf card def get the R9 280 also your power supply might be a little weak so try to get a 700 wat ps
and get another 8 GB of ram and your PC should play pretty much everything

Basicaly, anything other than the RAM will be an upgrade.
CPU+MOBO or GPU will give you more FPS, but PSU will give you durability and safety.
Unbranded PSU's are usually very bad and dangerous, a good PSU will not kill anything if it fails, a bad one might take your whole PC with it.

That solution is definitely not accurate.
If you want to go AMD, go for 8350 anything less and it is not worth it.I should tell you that those CPUs are very bad and should be avoided, if you want AMD, it's better to wait for ZEN. It releases in september.
Also that GPU is 2 years old, RX480 is the newest version of it, but GTX 1060 is better, if you want a GPU like that get the GTX750ti or GTX950.

Upgrading your PSU is a must if you don't want trouble.
Seasonic S12II 620 would suit you best.
