This is my current Set-Up:

Computer
Corsair Carbide 100R mid tower
Gigabyte B85-HD3-A (1150 socket ATX motherboard)
Intel Core i3-4130 Dual Core 3.4ghz
Kingston HyperX 8GB ram
GTX 960 MSI
1TB Western Digital HDD

Outside the computer
LG 22mp58vq LED IPS 1080p 60hz
Some Razer Mouse and Mouse mat
Cheap $15 keyboard

I wanted to give as many details as possible so you can help me in these situation. I've been saving up for a new processor since i consider mine low-end for 2016, i've been thinking that i5-4690 would be a solid upgrade considering i won't do hard CPU taks and this one seems to be just really good for gaming and overall computer use, and it is not so far behind from new skylake i5 processors. Here is the issue, i'm a student and i don't get much income, so i have to save up money for a while until i get enough to upgrade something. Currently i have enough money to buy either one of these two things:

A) Corsair Strafe Chroma CherryMX Red keyboard ($161 in my country)
I have felt a mechanical keyboard before and i can tell its awesome, so confortable for writting and the red cherry mx feels good for gaming, i also love the personalization you can have with the Chroma LEDS. Good looking overall.

B) Intel core i5-4690 ($280 in my country)
I just feel bad with my current processor, it is dual core, i get some stuttering on games like GTA and i feel a new processor would remove stuttering and get me more fps on some other games (even though i don't game that much though, i just feel really outdated with this processor)

I wanted to go and buy the keyboard this weekend, but many people around me constantly tell me that it's a waste to spend $161 on a keyboard and that i shouldn't do it. I want some PC enthusiasts opinions on my situation, which one of the two upgrades would you choose? it would be good if you told me reasons why you would choose that, thanks!

Solution
If you are having performance issues spending any money on a keyboard instead of performance boosting parts is silly. Get the processor. You also could look for a second hand one and save some money

With respect to the keyboard go "hands on" with as many makes and models as you can. I want my keyboards to provide what is, to me, comfortable tactile feedback, some ruggedness to handle bumps, small drops (little hands about...), some level of weight, and within what I feel is (again to me) a reasonable cost.

Many keyboards meet those requirements one way on another. Hands on is the real deciding factor for me. Not worried about appearence per se or any extra whistles and bells. Sometimes I see perfectly good keyboards at the local Goodwill store for a fraction of normal retail cost. From time to time I have "inherited" unused/unwanted keyboards. Some I used, some passed along, some donated.

Think about it: Find a good (for you) functional keyboard. Save the bulk of the $161 and put that towards the processor.

Yeah thanks for the advice, the thing is that in my local stores all the keyboards are either really nice looking keyboards with leds but are non mechanical OR really bad looking mechanical keyboards, razer blackwidow and corsair strafe are the only two they import that are actually nice
