Hey guys i recently had my ultimate amd build stolen which took me about 3 years to slowly upgrade into the fine machine it was. Now its gone im trying to get at least close to the performance i once had or at least get a good start and i have found a deal that might do just that for me. Unfortunately i know nothing about the intel xeon which this pc im looking at has.

Its an HP z210 mini tower with a Xeon e3 1240 quad core with 16gb ddr3 1tb hdd, nvidia nvs 295 gpu?(this any good?) and basically figured i could buy this for the small amount of 330$ and throw a gtx 980ti and be good to go, am i wrong?. Also the small mobo, will it restrict me performance wise in any way? Thanks in advance for any knowledge you guys might be able to drop on me!!

Solution
About in line with a Sandy/Ivy Bridge i7 (which is what it's based off), which is still very capable today.

On the other hand, you could build a brand new Skylake i5-6500 system with one of the new graphics cards for almost as much.

Shoot my phone lagged and i accidentally chose a solution.. Omg im a noob. Anyways what you think this cpu is equivalent to i7 or i5 wise? Also yeah i didnt even realize nvidia had released a new series of gpu! Ill check them out. And do you think 330$ is as good as a deal as im thinking? Ultra gaming rig for bout 600 or 700$ total with a new and better gpu and power supply?
