Hello, I am an amateur computer builder and I am stuck in between 2 different video Cards. Should I get the EVGA Geforce GTX 960 SSC or FTW edition. Those are the two cards i have singled down to my price range that give the best performance. Which one should I get out of those two or could you guys suggest a different one around the same price range? Thank you.

ftw is the higher tiered card , but with any card it can fall to'' LUCK OF THE DRAW'' you may get a ssc that oc just as good or better as any ftw or a ftw that don't take much if any at all ?

price point maybe the real deal like said in that link

matter of fact unless my eyes are failing I see evga don't even list the ftw at there site here at all any more ??

http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=0&family=GeForce+900+Series+Family&chipset=GTX+960

may now be a discontinued card ??

The FTW line tends to be just above the SSC in EVGA's GPU hierarchy. However, the 960 is not a great purchase at the moment - given the newest line of GPUs that have come out, it's in a very awkward price/performance area right now.

Forgot to answer the actual question! :p
The SC and FTW both come with factory overclocks.
The SC is good if you don't overclock and want good out of the box performance, while the FTW has more power phases and appeals to overclockers who want to push their card further.
Considering you're new to PC building, don't risk overclocking until you learn a bit more. Get this.
