lately ive noticed my WoW client has been acting up a lot, from freezing and disconnecting to the game looking like a slideshow, extremely laggy and choppy. I checked task manager and ive noticed that the memory is at a constant 93-94 percent with pretty much all my memory being used, is this a virus or malware or a memory leak?

Solution
You can use the addon called Addon Control Panel, if you are not aware of it. It will allow you to disable all of your addons, within the game, then you can rule out each one, that you use, that may be causing the problem.

If you're on Windows 10 and just did the anniversary update, it's a known problem with incompatible drivers causing memory leakage. You may have to wait out for a patch. if you google "fix windows 10 anniversary update high ram usage" you can find some solutions.. none of which I can post here, since I've not had the problem nor tried them to vouch for their effectiveness or safety. That update was a major pain. It installed a lot of "apps" and the average user has no way to remove them. If this is in fact your situation, I can highly recommend Advanced Systemcare's Uninstaller. It will remove those pesky Windows 10 apps that can suck your system dry. This was all I needed to solve the ram issue when I got that update. It's a free program (although it's so good I pay for the pro version).

I assume you've task killed chrome to see if that makes much difference and it didn't. I don't know much about WoW, I assume it needs to be kept up to date with current version, and you've done that. After that, all you can do is pare it down by removing add-ons (obviously with any newly added ones being the first to go), I suspect, until you figure out which one is the guilty one. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/300544 might be worth a shot, just back up all your settings by copying the folders and renaming them, then you can put them back if that's not the problem. Battle.net has a pretty active forum help community, I'd ask this there.
