I installed 4x2 gb of ram but only 4gb is showing. If go in bios it only shows that i have 4 gb of ram.I tried to swap them but it's not working,Any help?
Use 1 stick at a time. Put 1 in. Start up an do some stuff, if it works try the same thing with the other stick. To rule out if its one the ram sticks.
Ok,both of them work but only in slot 2,if i put one of them in slot 1 my pc will beep for 30-38 times and than restart
Thats a faulty dimm slot. So you can either use 1 stick of ram or change motherboards. Id go with the motherboard.
Make sure their in the right slots. ram sticks dont go right beside each other. Theres always a slot in between them. It goes slot 1 slot 3 slot 2 slot 4. If your putting in 2 sticks. youd put them in slot 1 an 2. Also one of the sticks could be bad but id try the first bit before.
