Hi guys just built a new system.
i7-6700k
msi z170a gaming m5
samsung 950 pro 256gb m.2
WD caviar blue 1TB
I didn't buy windows 10 so I had to use windows 7. At first, w7 wouldn't recognise my 950 pro. So I installed the OS on the HDD.Then I installed samsung Nvme driver. Then I used Samsung software to clone the OS to the SSD then I wiped the HDD.
Everything seems to be running fine and I'm getting advertised speeds in the benchmarks.
But the boot time is superrr slow ( around 35-40 seconds) I had around 16 sec with my old hyper x ssd in my old system.
Any ideas, I tried everything and it drives me crazy.
I also switched the bios to UEFI mode and I'm using windows boot manager for boot priority.
I didn't install windows in UEFI tho.
Thanks .
