About may or so last year, with help from the great people on this website, i worked out a decent pc build that i ended up buying. Thing is, i bought it with the intention of future proofing it as best i could. The idea that if i wanted to upgrade in 2-3 years i wouldnt need to do the whole process again.
However, more recently i noticed that the 1151 mobos seem to be becoming the thing these days, compared to the 1150 i bought.
(my build is currently a z-97k mobo, G1 gaming GTX 970, 16gb of 1833 as 2x8gb, and an i5-4690k)
Now, it works fine as it is, allowing me to run pretty much anything i want on 1080p ideal settings.
But the question i ask, is that would it be worth upgrading to an 1151 now (in which case, any suggestions would be great), or should i just stick with the 1150 for now, and maybe just get a GPU upgrade later when the 1070 or something drops in price a bit?
Thanks.
